DUCT WORK

Duct work must be working properly. Leakage of conditioned air is wasteful and costly. All joints must be structurally sound and airtight. Ducts must also be sized properly and well insulated.

SYSTEM COMPONENTS NEEDING REGULAR ATTENTION

Indoor and Outdoor coils.

Inspect and clean both the indoor and outdoor coils. These air coils collect dust and dirt during the cooling season. The Dirt build-up insulates the coils and reduces the efficiency of the system. This phenomenon is a major contributor to increased energy bills. Indoor and outdoor coils need to be inspected and cleaned on a regular basis.

Refrigeration coolant

The refrigerator coolant needs to be checked on a regular basis. This special gas is at the heart of the cooling system energy exchange. If the system is overcharged or undercharged with refrigerant, it will not work properly. You may need a service contractor to check the fluid and adjust it appropriately.

Duct Filters

Your filtering system is an integral part of a properly working HVAC system. It helps clean the air but at the same time allow low restriction of airflow. Clogged filters don’t filter well but also block air flow. Blocked air flow damages equipment and can create moisture problems. It is a good habit to replace filters every month. We will check your filters and have a conversation as necessary to make sure they are getting replaced as necessary and are doing the proper job for your personal needs.
